Individual manuscript consultations for poetry manuscripts.

This is a fee-for-service and includes:

1.) One sixty-minute-long-meeting where we discuss the manuscript together, and I answer your questions, as well as ask you questions. We look at the poems working on an individual level, how they function as a whole in the book, ideas for editing and the next steps to take to get your book published.

2.) Two word documents. The first being a write up, usually 2-3 pages of written feedback going into more details about how I see the book working: themes, narrative arc, sections, titles, etc., and how it is all coming through to the reader. I focus on where the book can be strengthened and ideas expanded upon–and of course, where it’s working wonderfully. The second document is an extensive poem by poem close-read, with line-edits and comments on the actual manuscript.

Manuscript consultations are available for a fee of $325.
Please keep your documents at about 70 pages.
